HILVARENBEEK, Netherlands – The Best Kept Secret festival kicked off its 2025 edition at Safaripark Beekse Bergen with unexpected sunshine and a laid-back vibe on Friday. While attendees enjoyed the music and atmosphere, the festival addressed the initial absence of sunscreen with readily available protection.

The festival grounds offered ample shade, and sunscreen stations provided by Zilveren Kruis helped attendees cope with the unexpected heat.

Despite the warm weather, the initial hours of the festival saw a somewhat subdued atmosphere. While the smaller stages were utilized, the main stage remained inactive until later in the day.

Droom Dit and Das Pop played to moderately sized crowds, but the festival’s characteristic euphoric energy was not yet in full swing.

However, as the afternoon progressed, a more festive mood emerged, particularly at the DJ tables of St. Paul, where attendees danced to a variety of musical styles under a large, protective cloth.

Long Fling, a supergroup from the Dutch indie-rock scene, delivered a standout performance in the Casbah, drawing a full house with their diverse and energetic set.

The festival continues through the weekend, promising further musical discoveries and a chance to fully embrace the Best Kept Secret experience.
