An investigation into the allegations against former Speaker of the House of Representatives Khadija Arib suggests a potential settlement within Dutch parliamentary circles. The investigation, prompted by complaints of a ‘reign of terror’ and abuse of power, led to Arib’s resignation. However, subsequent findings paint a different picture, indicating that Arib was generally well-regarded by staff and that a power struggle may have been at play.
