TomTom, the Dutch navigation company, has announced it will eliminate 300 positions as it fully integrates artificial intelligence into its operations. The job cuts will affect various departments, including route planning, sales, and customer service.

With a current workforce of 3,600, approximately 1,200 of whom are based in the Netherlands, TomTom stated that less than half of the job losses will occur within the Netherlands. This restructuring comes after the company reported a net loss of €17 million in the previous year.

TomTom anticipates that the integration of AI will enhance the overall customer experience. The company aims to streamline operations and improve efficiency through this strategic shift.
