Volodymyr Zelenskyy refrained from directly addressing concerns regarding Donald Trump’s decision to halt arms aid to Ukraine during his visit to Denmark. Speaking alongside Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Marselisborg Castle Park, Aarhus, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, Zelenskyy offered a measured response.
“We expect American support to continue,” he stated diplomatically.
The Trump administration has reportedly blocked the shipment of key weapons systems to Ukraine. These include missiles intended for combat aircraft and Patriot air defense systems, vital for protecting Ukrainian airspace.
Some of the shipments were already en route to Ukraine before being redirected under the new policy. The halt in aid has raised concerns about Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against ongoing Russian attacks.
On the same night as Zelenskyy’s visit to Denmark, Russia launched a barrage of over 550 drones and missiles against Ukraine. This large-scale attack underscores the continued intensity of the conflict.
