A 46-year-old woman from Odder has been sentenced to nine months in prison for possessing one million kroner linked to criminal activity. The Court in Aarhus delivered the sentence, with most of it suspended, meaning she will only serve 60 days.
In addition to the jail time, the woman must also complete 120 hours of community service. The case is connected to her husband’s conviction in 2023, where he received an 11-year prison sentence for dealing 30 kilos of cocaine.
The woman admitted to the offense, which was welcomed by the prosecution. Lise Hebsgaard, a special prosecutor at the National Unit for Special Crime (NSK), expressed satisfaction with the admission.
According to a press release from NSK, this case exemplifies their commitment to pursuing criminal proceeds, even after the primary offenders have been convicted. Hebsgaard stated that this case demonstrates NSK’s dedication to recovering criminal assets, regardless of prior convictions of the main individuals involved.
