A woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a police officer multiple times with a knife in Grindsted on Wednesday. The South East Jutland Police announced the charge in a press release on Thursday, ahead of the woman’s court hearing.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, during which police officers discharged their firearms. The injured officer received medical treatment and is now out of danger, according to police reports from Wednesday.
A judge at the Court in Horsens will determine on Thursday whether there is sufficient suspicion to support the attempted murder charge against the 40-year-old woman. The court will also consider whether the incident constitutes “dangerous violence” instead and will decide if the woman will be held in custody.
