A wildfire erupted on Monday near The Buried Church (Den Tilsandede Kirke) in Skagen, prompting a large response from emergency services. The blaze is currently concentrated in Skagen Klitplantage, situated approximately ten kilometers south of Skagen.

Firefighters are working to contain the intense fire that broke out. The fire department received the initial alarm shortly after 2 PM.

Police have issued an appeal to motorists, urging them to make way for fire trucks to ensure they can reach the affected areas quickly. Emergency services are reported to have a significant presence in the vicinity of Gl. Landevej and Skagen Hede.

The Buried Church, also known as Sankt Laurentii Kirke, is a medieval church located in the dunes west of Skagen.
