A wildfire erupted near the Sand-Covered Church in Skagen on Monday, prompting a swift response from the fire department. The alarm was received shortly after 2 PM.

The medieval church, formally known as Saint Laurentius Church, is situated in the dune area west of Skagen.

Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further.
