A wildfire erupted near the Sand-Buried Church (Den Tilsandede Kirke) in Skagen on Monday, prompting a response from the fire department.

The fire department received an alarm shortly after 2 PM. The blaze is reported to be significant and firefighters are focusing their efforts on Skagen Klitplantage (Skagen Dune Plantation), located approximately ten kilometers south of Skagen.

The Sand-Buried Church, also known as Sankt Laurentii Kirke, is a medieval church situated in the dunes west of Skagen.
