Viborg FF has both reinforced its attacking options and parted ways with a key offensive player just days before their season opener against FC Copenhagen.
Isak Jensen has been transferred to Dutch club AZ Alkmaar, according to the club’s official website. The transfer fee is reportedly around DKK 30 million, including bonuses, making it the club’s second-largest sale after Anton Gaaei’s move to Ajax. Jensen, a 21-year-old U21 international, joined Viborg from St. Louis in 2023 and scored 18 goals in 60 appearances.
In a corresponding move, 24-year-old attacker Dorian Junior has signed with Viborg FF from Marbella FC in the Spanish third division on a four-year contract. The club’s sports director, Mads Agesen, described Dorian as a powerful box striker with speed and physicality that will complement Viborg’s playing style.
Agesen noted that Dorian’s goal-scoring ability and pace will provide new opportunities for the team. Dorian, who represents Equatorial Guinea internationally, was born and raised in Spain. He has previously played for Cultural Leonesa and CD Leganes’ second team, scoring 10 goals in 32 matches for Marbella last season.
The club views Jensen’s transfer as a success, aligning with their ambition to develop players for larger clubs.
