Police and the Danish Safety Technology Authority investigated a report of vandalism at a transformer station in Lemvig on Friday. The incident, reported by employees on Wednesday, prompted concerns due to its potential impact on Denmark’s critical infrastructure.

Authorities are currently unsure if vandalism occurred. Police Inspector Hans Roost stated that experts need to analyze the findings before any conclusions can be drawn.

As part of the investigation, DNA samples were taken from five employees to eliminate them as potential suspects.

The Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) is also involved and is actively monitoring the situation. PET is in communication with Central and West Jutland Police regarding the case.

The initial report stemmed from employees noticing “some things that didn’t look the way they used to” at the high-tech facility, according to the police inspector.
