Thousands of vacant study places are available for applicants who were rejected from higher education programs, offering a second chance to pursue their academic goals this year.

Across 940 educational offerings, 497 programs have vacancies for the 2025 academic year.

These vacancies amount to 17,655 available spots, according to figures released by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science on Sunday.

The decision to offer these vacant places rests with each individual educational institution.

Application procedures and locations for these vacant places can be found at the respective educational institutions, which also set their own application processes.

To be considered for a vacant spot, applicants must still meet the standard admission requirements for the specific program.

The majority of vacancies, 11,518 out of the 17,655, are in professional bachelor’s degree programs.
