The former United Arab Emirates embassy building in Østerbro, Copenhagen, is up for sale. Located at Øster Alle 33, next to Fælledparken and opposite Parken, the property offers over 1200 square meters of space.
The brokerage firm Colliers has been appointed to find a buyer for the property, which was previously used as the embassy for the United Arab Emirates. The embassy is relocating, making the building available for new ownership.
According to Ditlev Juul, a commercial real estate agent at Colliers, potential buyers could include those looking to convert the property for residential use or companies seeking a headquarters. However, using the property as a company headquarters would require approval from the municipality.
The property last changed hands in August 2018 for 85.7 million kroner. While the current price is negotiable, it is expected to be higher due to renovations made to the property.
The sale includes 10-12 parking spaces and a high level of security features, including fencing, video surveillance, a separate guardhouse, and a security room in the basement.
In 2022, the property was mentioned in the media when Ambassador Fatema Khamis Al Mazrouei was sent to Norway and the embassy closed. Some Danish companies reported unpaid bills for rebuilding and security services at that time.
