Uber has acquired Dantaxi, Denmark’s largest taxi company, giving Uber’s platform access to over 3,500 drivers across 75 Danish municipalities. The acquisition, announced in a press release by Dantaxi, marks a shift in ownership from the capital fund Triton to the American ride-hailing giant.
According to Dantaxi’s CEO, this collaboration with Uber initiates a promising new phase for the Danish company. Dantaxi, which boasts a widespread presence throughout Denmark, was previously acquired by Triton in 2018. The agreement will integrate Dantaxi’s extensive network of drivers into Uber’s system, expanding Uber’s reach in the Danish market.
