Knuthenborg Safari Park will exhibit the Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton named Trinity starting Thursday, May 22nd, in the park’s evolution museum. The skeleton, composed of 293 real bones from three dinosaurs believed to be 67 million years old, is on loan from The Phoebus Foundation.
Trinity, measuring 11 meters long and 4.4 meters high, was purchased for over 40 million kroner at auction in Switzerland in 2023. The fossil’s assembly took approximately three days after being transported in two trucks.
With the addition of Trinity, the museum now showcases all five of the “big five” dinosaurs, including Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Camarasaurus, and Archaeopteryx.
