Two individuals, a 21-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, have been remanded in custody in connection with the assault, deprivation of liberty, and violence against a 17-year-old boy in Viborg. They are charged with four offenses related to an incident that occurred on April 19.
The decision was made during a preliminary hearing at the Court in Viborg on Saturday. Like the other nine defendants in the case, both deny their guilt and will remain in custody until July 24.
The 17-year-old victim was allegedly assaulted, held captive, and subjected to violence by a group in a forest area near Viborg. Police discovered him after spotting car headlights in the forest, which led them to the perpetrators’ vehicle.
The incident occurred at 10:39 PM, following a report received by police about an hour earlier concerning the boy’s assault.
According to police, the boy was robbed of several items and sustained broken fingers.
The 21-year-old woman and 22-year-old man were apprehended at the German border after being wanted in connection to the crime. The arrests took place on Saturday night.
Due to the closed nature of the preliminary hearing, details of the police’s evidence are not publicly available. Prior to closing the doors, the prosecutor stated that the possibility of additional accomplices at large could not be ruled out.
