Train traffic was suspended for about 90 minutes Thursday afternoon after a woman was struck and killed by a train in Brabrand. Police confirmed the fatality.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 PM on Banevænget in Brabrand. Emergency services, including ambulances and police, were dispatched to the scene. East Jutland Police communicated the event via social media platform X.
The collision caused a temporary halt to train services between Aarhus H and Hinnerup. DSB (Danish State Railways) arranged for replacement buses to serve the affected route starting at 4:20 PM.
Normal train operations resumed approximately 30 minutes later, following the police announcement that the route was clear.
