Train Traffic Between Denmark and Germany Halted Due to Power Line Fault

Train traffic between Denmark and Germany is suspended Sunday due to a fault on an overhead power line near Rendsborg, Germany. The disruption impacts all train services crossing the border.

DSB (Danish State Railways) has been instructed to cease operations into Germany, with trains terminating at Padborg in Southern Jutland. Deutsche Bahn, the German railway operator, anticipates the issue will persist until the end of the day.

Replacement buses are operating between Padborg and Flensburg to mitigate the impact on travelers. From Flensburg, Deutsche Bahn is providing regional train services towards Hamburg.

The disruption has lasted throughout the day, leaving approximately 200 people stranded at Padborg station Sunday morning. Passengers are being transported onwards by bus or taxi.
