Trade Union 3F Aalborg Considers Ending Sponsorship of AaB Due to Bullying Allegations

3F Aalborg is contemplating ending its sponsorship of AaB due to reported bullying within the club. The trade union announced this consideration on its Facebook page on Tuesday evening. The sponsorship contract is set to expire in June 2027.

The decision stems from allegations of internal bullying at AaB, which have been reported by Tipsbladet and other news outlets.

3F Aalborg has scheduled an emergency meeting to discuss the situation with AaB and to determine whether to terminate the sponsorship agreement prematurely.

According to 3F Aalborg, bullying and a negative psychological work environment are fundamentally opposed to the values the union promotes, both in workplaces and in the communities it supports.

The union had already met with AaB management on Monday, expressing its unwillingness to continue as a sponsor under the club’s current ownership, SSE22, a German investment group, acquired a stake in the club in March 2023.

AaB’s recent relegation to the second-tier league, along with Lyngby, further complicates the situation, as the team finished last in the Superliga.
