Tesla is facing mounting challenges as sales plummet in the European market, including a sharp decline in its Danish subsidiary, Tesla Motors Denmark Aps. The company’s 2024 annual report reveals a significant drop in turnover.
Turnover for Tesla’s Danish operations fell to 5.3 billion kroner last year, a decrease of 2.8 billion kroner compared to the previous year’s 8.1 billion kroner.
The company anticipates this downward trend will continue, projecting a 10 to 15 percent decrease in car deliveries to Denmark in 2025. Sales of new Tesla cars in Denmark have not maintained the levels seen in previous years.
Data from Mobility Denmark, based on figures from Bilstatistik.dk, shows a substantial decrease in new Tesla car registrations.
In the first quarter of this year, 1549 new Tesla cars were registered in Denmark, more than halving the 3556 registrations recorded during the same period in 2024.
