Ten high-ranking members of the Bandidos motorcycle club, who were arrested in April, have been released by a judge in the Court in Glostrup. The decision was made on Tuesday.
The men face accusations of continuing Bandidos’ activities despite a preliminary ban while the court processes a case regarding the group’s potential dissolution in the Court in Helsingør.
The judge stated that the potential sentence the men could receive would not justify keeping them in custody. The men maintain their innocence.
The prosecutor, Tobias Baadsgaard from the National Unit for Special Crime (NSK), has appealed the judge’s decision, meaning the High Court will review the case.
The ten men are protected by a name ban, which prevents the publication of their roles within the motorcycle club.
The case against Bandidos, aiming to prove the organization’s illegal purpose and advocating for its legal dissolution, is ongoing in the Court in Helsingør. The final hearing is scheduled for August, with a verdict expected at a later date.
