Swedish Man and Danish Teenager Charged with Planning Gang-Related Murder in Copenhagen

A 25-year-old Swedish man and a 19-year-old Danish teenager are facing charges for allegedly plotting to murder a man with ties to the Loyal To Familia (LTF) gang in Copenhagen in late October of the previous year. The two individuals appeared in Copenhagen City Court on Wednesday where they both pleaded not guilty.

The Swedish man claims he has never met the Danish teenager. He testified that he attended a private party in Sweden involving extensive cocaine use over several days. During the party, he had a conversation about a task in Denmark but claims he was unaware of the specific nature of the task.

According to the Swede, he was promised 150,000 kroner upon arrival in Denmark and an additional 150,000 kroner upon completion of the task. However, he asserts that he never intended to carry out the task and instead planned to defraud the unnamed individuals of the initial 150,000 kroner. He stated his focus was solely on obtaining the money to purchase more cocaine, as he was under the influence at the time.

The Swedish man claims that he did not receive the promised 150,000 kroner upon arriving in Denmark. Instead, he received an initial payment of 17,000 kroner, followed by an additional 2,000 kroner, along with clothing, a phone, and an electric bicycle. Growing suspicious that he was being deceived, he considered returning to Sweden, focused only on receiving the money he was promised.

The 19-year-old Danish teenager admitted to selling drugs but denied any involvement in planning the murder. He was not questioned about whether he knew the Swedish man. Both men have been in custody since October 30.
