Slight Increase in Unemployment Recorded in June

Unemployment in Denmark saw a slight increase in June, according to the latest figures from the Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment. Adjusted for seasonality, the number of unemployed individuals rose by 400 people between May and June.

The total number of full-time unemployed individuals now stands at 87,200, representing an unemployment rate of 2.9 percent. This marks a small increase compared to June of last year, when there were 86,800 unemployed individuals.

Despite the slight uptick in unemployment, employment has continued to increase for the 22nd consecutive month.

In June, 74,900 individuals were receiving unemployment benefits, while 12,300 were receiving cash benefits.
