Six individuals have been charged with complicity in aggravated unlawful deprivation of liberty following an incident in March where a woman was allegedly held against her will for over 18 hours. One of the six defendants also faces charges of violence and rape against the victim.
The indictment details the events surrounding the woman’s arrest on March 7 at 6:12 PM, during which police seized 33,300 kroner, 100 euros, cocaine, and ketamine. She was released shortly before 8:00 PM that same evening.
Following her release, the woman contacted another woman, who is also among the accused, informing her about the arrest. The accused woman then picked up the victim around 11:00 PM. Soon after, the two women met with two men, who are also defendants in the case. Simultaneously, the victim received threatening messages on the encrypted messaging service Signal from an unidentified individual using the names “Jimmytheman” and “elcapone,” accusing her of stealing the seized money. Police have been unable to identify the person behind the Signal profile.
The woman was subsequently taken to one of the defendants’ residences, where she was allegedly accused of lying about the arrest and taking the money for herself. During the night of March 8, two other defendants drove the victim to a green area. While there, a call from the unidentified Signal profile instructed them to stomp on the woman’s face and prevent her from returning home for three days. The woman was then driven back to the apartment.
During the period of her confinement, one of the female defendants allegedly visited the victim’s parents and stepmother, demanding 100,000 kroner for her release. According to the indictment, a 32-year-old male defendant allegedly cut the victim’s hair, slapped her in the face, and bit her on the upper arm, reportedly under the instruction of the Signal profile. The same defendant is also accused of raping the woman multiple times during her captivity.
The woman was freed by the police on March 8 at 5:40 PM, after being held for over 18 hours. The case is scheduled to be heard in the Court in Glostrup, but the specific date has not yet been determined.
