A large scaffolding structure collapsed at the intersection of Haraldsgade and Vermundsgade in Østerbro, Copenhagen, causing significant disruption. The incident, triggered by a strong gust of wind, was reported to the Copenhagen Police at 4:53 PM.
The collapse has brought down electrical cables, leading to traffic standstill and affecting traffic lights. Authorities are currently assessing the full extent of the damage and working to determine the impact on other infrastructure.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
Police are also responding to reports of swaying scaffolding in Kastrup, where the structure has come loose from a building due to the wind. In addition, a large branch has fallen onto electrical cables in Nørrebro, prompting police to cordon off the area.
Authorities are now working to locate the owners of the collapsed and damaged scaffolding to coordinate the necessary repairs and secure the affected areas.
