Five cities, including Copenhagen, will host the Royal Run in 2026. The Danish Sports Confederation and DGI revealed the host cities as Ringkøbing, Randers, Middelfart, Helsingør, and Copenhagen.

While Copenhagen has been a consistent host, the other four cities will be hosting the event for the first time.

Organizers anticipate a record-breaking number of participants, with registration opening for 111,500 runners. This suggests the 2026 Royal Run could be the largest ever held.
