Festival-goers heading to Roskilde this year should prepare for a mix of weather conditions, including both heavy rainfall and temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. According to the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), the festival could experience both extremes.

While the weather is expected to be generally warm and potentially hot at times, attendees must also be prepared for rain. There is a greater than 50 percent chance of heavy rainfall on a couple of days during the festival.

The camping area opens on Saturday with reasonably good weather for setting up tents. The forecast indicates some clouds but dry conditions with temperatures around 23-24 degrees Celsius and a steady wind. Sunday is expected to be sunny all day.

By Tuesday, warm air from the south will bring temperatures to around 25 degrees Celsius. Wednesday could see temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, although this forecast remains uncertain. A more accurate forecast for Wednesday and Thursday will be issued by DMI on Monday. On Thursday 47 milimeters of rain is expected.
