Record High Admission Grades Required for Design and Conservation Programs in Denmark

Two educational programs in Denmark now require an average grade of 11.5 for admission via quota one, setting a new record for entry requirements. This represents a significant increase in the academic qualifications needed to secure a place in these competitive fields of study.

The programs demanding this high average are the design program at Designskolen Kolding and the Conservator program at The Royal Academy – Architecture, Design, Conservation in Copenhagen. The design program in Kolding saw its required average increase from 11.3 last year.

A total of eight programs now require a minimum average of 11, highlighting the increasing academic standards for higher education in Denmark.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Science compiles the list of programs with the highest admission scores, and this year’s top 20 all demand a double-digit average.

Other well-known programs featured on the list include International Business at CBS and psychology programs in Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Odense, demonstrating the widespread demand for high academic achievement across various disciplines.
