Real Tyrannosaurus Rex Skeleton on Display in Danish Park

Knuthenborg Park and Safari in Denmark will display a Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton assembled from real bones starting Thursday, May 22nd. The skeleton, named Trinity, will be showcased in the park’s evolution museum.

Trinity is composed of 293 real bones from three different dinosaurs, estimated to be 67 million years old. The 11-meter-long and 4.4-meter-high skeleton is on loan from The Phoebus Foundation, a Belgian art foundation.

The Phoebus Foundation purchased the fossil for over 40 million kroner at an auction in Switzerland in 2023. This marks the second time a real T. rex skeleton has been exhibited in Denmark.
