Randers FC to Play Potential Europa Playoff Match at AGF’s Stadium

Randers FC has arranged to play a potential Europa Playoff match at AGF’s stadium in Vejlby, due to the installation of a new hybrid pitch at their home stadium, Cepheus Park. This contingency plan is in place should Randers FC qualify for the Europa Playoff.

The decision comes as Randers FC is replacing the grass surface at their stadium, making it unavailable for any potential playoff games. The club has secured AGF’s temporary stadium as an alternative venue to ensure they can host the crucial match.

Football director Søren Pedersen expressed optimism about playing at their rival’s home ground. He highlighted the stadium’s quality and convenient location, recalling past positive experiences in Aarhus, including promotion to the Superliga in 2006, a memorable European match against Fenerbahce, and a cup victory four years ago.

The possibility of Randers playing at Ceres Park Vejlby depends on FC Copenhagen defeating Silkeborg IF in the cup final on Thursday. Should that happen, Randers will face Silkeborg in a match for a spot in the Conference League qualification, scheduled for Sunday at 6:30 PM.
