Rainfall in Denmark has not yet caused major issues in Lolland, Falster, and Fyn

Heavy rainfall in parts of Denmark has not yet caused significant problems on the islands of Lolland, Falster, and Fyn, according to local emergency services. The regions have experienced substantial rainfall since Monday afternoon, but the emergency services have not been significantly affected.

The emergency services have been monitoring conditions closely. While a considerable amount of rain has fallen, it has not triggered any major responses.

In Lolland-Falster, emergency services addressed minor issues such as signage and road checks for standing water overnight. “The status with us is that a lot of rain has fallen, but we have not had any significant tasks related to the weather… We have sent some people out to fix some signs and check roads for standing water during the night, but otherwise the conditions are actually quite okay,” said Morten Andersen, chief guard in Lolland-Falster’s Emergency Services.

Similarly, on Fyn, the rain has not caused significant disruptions. Søren Ipsen, chief guard, stated, “It hasn’t affected our work particularly much. Of course, a lot of water has fallen, but it hasn’t activated us on Fyn in any way.” Emergency services on Fyn are monitoring the weather and are prepared to respond to any calls for assistance.

Lolland, Falster, and Fyn were among the first areas to experience the heavy rainfall, with some locations receiving over 80 millimeters of rain. The wet weather is expected to persist for much of Tuesday.
