Police are appealing to the public for information following a brazen robbery at a watch store in central Aarhus on Friday morning, where the perpetrators stole watches worth millions of kroner. The East Jutland Police are particularly interested in hearing from residents in the central part of the city, including streets such as Mejlgade, Randersvej, and Rosensgade.
The robbery occurred at 10:22 AM at the Kejser store on Rosensgade. Two perpetrators, one of whom brandished what appeared to be a pistol, carried out the heist.
Following the robbery, the two men fled in the direction of the harbor. Police released photos of the suspects on Friday in an effort to solicit assistance from the public.
Police Inspector Brian Voss Olsen noted the robbery appeared to be planned and suggested the perpetrators may have scouted the area in advance. He emphasized the violent nature of the robbery, stating it was a “truly violent and shocking experience” for those present, and that the police are taking the situation very seriously.
As of Saturday morning, police reported having received only a few inquiries. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward. The East Jutland Police are actively seeking leads to aid in their investigation.
Such robberies are reportedly rare in Denmark.
