Police Searches in Horsens Result in Multiple Charges

In Horsens, Southeast Jutland Police have conducted 52 searches within two designated zones established on August 22nd following a stabbing incident at the train station. These zones were created in response to an assault with stabbing weapons that occurred on August 21st, resulting in injuries to two individuals.

The police district’s press release details that the searches have led to the opening of several cases, including two for violations of the weapons law, two for narcotics offenses, two for violations of the knife law, and one for a violation of the fireworks law.

The assault at Horsens train station, which prompted the establishment of the search zones, is believed by police to be connected to a conflict between two groups. Three men were arrested in connection with the stabbing, with one currently held in custody for four weeks while the other two have been released.

All three men face charges under section 81a of the penal code, also known as the gang paragraph, which can result in double punishment if the assault is determined to be part of a group conflict. Authorities have not yet publicly identified the groups involved in the incident.
