A white Renault Clio, believed to be the getaway car used in the violent robbery of Kejser Aarhus watchmakers on Friday, has been found by police. The car was discovered in a parking lot in Aarhus following a public appeal for information.
East Jutland Police acknowledged public assistance in locating the vehicle. The robbery targeted the watch shop, which specializes in used Rolex watches, and resulted in the theft of watches worth several million kroner.
The incident involved the shop owner, Magnus Kejser, and an employee being threatened with a pistol and restrained in a back room during the crime. Kejser described the feeling of the cold metal of the pistol against his neck. He and the employee freed themselves after the robbers left by breaking a window in the back door.
The investigation is ongoing and includes a potential international aspect, as the getaway car had Swiss license plates. It remains unclear whether the firearm used in the robbery was real or a replica.
