Part of Jernbanevej in Silkeborg is closed due to a police operation involving ammunition disposal experts from the Armed Forces, Central and West Jutland Police reported Tuesday morning.

The police are investigating a suspicious circumstance on Jernbanevej.

Authorities have cordoned off the area and expect the closure to last for several hours, according to a statement released around 3:00 PM.

While the exact location of the police activity has not been disclosed, Jernbanevej runs along Silkeborg Station.

The police have assured the public that it is safe to move around outside the cordoned area and that alternative routes are available for those needing to travel through the area.
