Police Conduct Searches in Murder Investigation

South and Southern Jutland Police conducted searches at multiple locations on Monday as part of their investigation into the murder of a 42-year-old Polish man. The searches were focused within the police district but also extended to an address in Horsens.

The victim was discovered deceased in Københoved, Vejen Municipality, on March 23rd. Currently, three men, aged 27, 32, and 40, are in custody, facing charges of murder and improper handling of a body.

Brian Skovdrup Christensen, Deputy Police Inspector at South and Southern Jutland Police, stated that the preliminary investigation suggested potential elements of interest to the murder inquiry at the searched addresses. The locations targeted in the searches included properties in Vejen, Rødding, Holsted, Andst, and Gedved.

The initial arrest in the case occurred two months prior, with a 32-year-old man taken into custody following an extended police operation. This operation involved officers equipped with bulletproof vests and automatic weapons.

In early April, two additional men, aged 27 and 40, were also apprehended and detained in connection with the case. Following the discovery of the deceased Polish man, police initially lacked identification.

To aid in identification, the police released a model image of a tattoo similar to one found on the victim’s right shoulder blade. The tattoo depicted a marathon runner or athlete in motion, executed in black ink. Authorities later identified the victim as a 42-year-old Polish citizen residing in Vejen Municipality.

Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, South and Southern Jutland Police have refrained from providing further details regarding Monday’s operation.
