Police Arrest Teenagers in Connection with Assault on Pregnant Woman

Four teenagers have been arrested in connection with the aggravated assault of a pregnant woman and her boyfriend in Borup in early April. Midt and West Zealand Police confirmed the arrests after a two-month investigation.

The arrested individuals include two boys, aged 18 and 19, and two girls, both 15 years old. The assault took place in a parking lot on Borup Hovedgade in Køge Municipality.

The victims were attacked by five individuals who stole a large box of Marabou chocolate. Police Commissioner Liza Pallesen described the assault as “very serious and unmotivated” and expressed satisfaction with the breakthrough in the case.

The 18 and 19-year-old males are suspected of carrying out the assault along with other unidentified individuals. The two girls are suspected of playing a role in the assault, possibly stemming from a prior altercation with the couple on a bus.

One of the 15-year-old girls had not yet reached the age of criminal responsibility at the time of the assault and her case will be handled by the Youth Crime Board. All four individuals have been released pending the resolution of their cases.
