A person died after being struck by a train on the tracks at Kløvermosevej in Odense early Sunday morning.
The Funen Police confirmed the incident, which occurred shortly before 5 a.m.
Train services to and from Odense towards Jutland were initially suspended following the accident.
DSB announced on its website that trains could “slowly” start running again between Odense and Fredericia as of 7:31 a.m.
The first train from Odense to Fredericia was IC 50121 at 7:31 a.m., while the first train from Odense to Nyborg and Copenhagen was IC 112 at 7:29 a.m.
The gender and age of the deceased individual have not yet been released.
