A motorsport official died on Saturday after being struck by a car during the Nykøbing Falster Motor Sports 75th Anniversary Rally on Møn. Another official was seriously injured and transported to a hospital for treatment.

The Danish Automobile Sports Union confirmed the fatality in a statement, noting the incident occurred during a speed test when a participant lost control of their vehicle and hit the two officials. The collision happened around 9:40 am.

Police from South Zealand and Lolland Falster are at the scene. Duty officer Morten Kronbo confirmed their presence with multiple patrols in the northwestern part of Møn, but declined to provide further details pending notification of next of kin.

Following the accident, first aid was administered by officials and participants before the arrival of emergency services.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by The Accident Investigation Board. The anniversary race has been cancelled.
