A four-month-old baby is in serious condition after suffering violent injuries, leading to the arrest of both parents in Midtsjælland. The Midt- and Vestsjælland Police confirmed the arrests and the upcoming custody hearing.

The father is accused of inflicting the violence directly upon the child.

The mother is charged with complicity in the violence, for allegedly failing to intervene despite knowing about the father’s actions.

Both parents were taken into custody on Saturday.

A court hearing is scheduled for Sunday morning at 10:00 AM in Roskilde to determine whether they will be remanded in custody.

The police district has not released further details about the case before the court hearing.
