Odense Håndbold triumphed over Ferencvaros in their Champions League debut this Saturday, securing a 34-32 victory. This win marks a successful start to Jakob Vestergaard’s Champions League coaching career with Odense.
The Danish champions showcased impressive resilience throughout the match, maintaining their composure despite repeated comeback attempts from Ferencvaros. Goalkeeper Althea Reinhardt played a crucial role, delivering numerous critical saves.
Norwegian player Ingvild Bakkerud proved her shooting prowess by scoring seven goals for Odense, while the addition of new talents like Bakkerud and German Viola Leuchter has bolstered the team’s offensive capabilities.
