Odense’s Nature Energy Park stadium is set for a major renovation after an agreement between Odense Sport & Event and Odense Municipality. The project aims to modernize the facility and meet the requirements of the Danish League Association.

The stadium will undergo significant changes, including closing the open corners, increasing spectator capacity from 15,300 to approximately 16,800, and installing a roof over all seats. The total cost of the renovation is estimated at 210 million kroner.

The upgraded stadium will also feature double the current number of toilets, triple the number of vendor stalls, and a doubling of the VIP area. These improvements are designed to enhance the fan experience.

Chairman and main investor in Odense Sport & Event, Niels Thorborg, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing its importance for both Odense and OB. He highlighted the creation of a “real football stadium” with closed corners and covered seats, as well as the environmentally sustainable nature of the renovation, with a focus on reusing existing foundations and preserving seats where possible.
