Three prominent Norwegian actors, Nicolai Cleve Broch, Agnes Kittelsen, and Jon Øigarden, have lost their appeal in the Eastern High Court (Østre Landsret) against their former Danish talent agency, Panorama Agency. The ruling affirms the contract terms that the actors sought to nullify, granting Panorama Agency entitlement to commission fees.
According to the Norwegian Actors’ Association, Panorama Agency is now entitled to commission on the actors’ work performed after the contracts’ expiration, even for projects the agency was not involved in securing.
Anders Bredmose, head of law and negotiations at the Norwegian Actors’ Association, stated in a press release: “This is a serious setback – both for the three actors and for the legal position of artists in the industry in general.”
