A computer system error led to incorrect scoring on a ninth-grade final Danish exam, impacting student grades. The issue stemmed from the acceptable, yet unrecognized by the system, spelling of the Danish word for “the sixties” (“tresserne”).
Several students used the alternative spelling “60’erne,” which is deemed correct by the Danish Orthography Dictionary. However, the grading software flagged this as an error, leading to a reduction in correct answers and, consequently, lower grades for affected students.
The error has now been rectified in the official grade overview available at testogprøver.dk. This correction ensures that students receive the accurate grades they earned on the exam.
