Nordic Waste, the company responsible for the major landslide in Ølst near Randers, is facing new compensation claims potentially reaching half a billion kroner, targeting former management and its sister company, DSH Recycling. This is in addition to the already filed claims of 750 million kroner, according to a report from Kammeradvokaten.
The preliminary compensation claim focuses on former management members of Nordic Waste and DSH Recycling, which has also declared bankruptcy. Kammeradvokaten alleges that the company distributed dividends totaling 11 million kroner in violation of company law and is seeking repayment of this amount.
Nordic Waste, previously partly owned by oil billionaire Torben Østergaard-Nielsen, held assets of only 19 million kroner.
