The Danish Ministry of Defence has faced sharp criticism from the National Auditors for “serious deficiencies” in the security of Denmark’s military areas over several years. This assessment, the harshest level of criticism the National Auditors can express, was released in a report on Monday.

The report highlights an overall deterioration of security over the past five years, despite the ministry’s awareness of the existing shortcomings.

The National Auditors are bringing the matter to the attention of Parliament, emphasizing that these serious security deficiencies in military areas could have significant consequences for the Defence.
