More Reports of Potential Drugging at Ring Riding Festival in Sønderborg

South and Southern Jutland Police are investigating a total of ten reports of possible drugging incidents that occurred at the ring riding festival in Sønderborg over the weekend. This includes four new reports received in addition to the six previously reported.

One of the new reports concerns an attempted drugging, according to a press release from the police. Three women in their 30s have reported feeling unwell after consuming drinks at the festival and suspect they were drugged.

A fourth woman reported to police that she suspected an attempted drugging after being offered a beer. She refused the drink because she believed it contained drugs.

Police emphasize the seriousness of these incidents. Deputy Police Inspector Henning Marcussen stated that such drugging is considered a serious crime, classified as aggravated violence under the penal code.

Authorities are actively investigating all cases and exploring potential connections between the reported incidents. Drugging in nightlife settings typically involves someone adding a substance to another person’s drink without their knowledge.
