A 12-year-old boy, who had been reported missing, has been found safe and sound near Haraldsminde in Ballerup. Copenhagen’s Vestegns Police announced the positive outcome on Tuesday afternoon.
The boy, who had left his home in Skovlunde at approximately 7:45 AM on Tuesday morning and had not returned, prompted a missing person alert issued by the police district. The police expressed concern as the boy was considered unable to care for himself and likely unable to find his way home.
The boy was found by a member of the public, who promptly contacted the police. The police expressed their gratitude to the citizen and to everyone who shared the missing person alert and participated in the search on X.
The boy is now in the process of being reunited with his parents. A large number of people participated in the search efforts after the alert was raised at 2 PM.
