Minister Morten Dahlin Goes on Parental Leave, Thomas Danielsen to Substitute

Minister for Nordic Cooperation, Cities and Rural Areas, and Minister for Ecclesiastical Affairs Morten Dahlin (V) is taking parental leave until August 10th. The Prime Minister’s Office announced this in a press release.

Minister of Transport Thomas Danielsen (V) will assume Dahlin’s responsibilities during his absence.

This is not the first time Danielsen has stepped in for Dahlin. He previously covered Dahlin’s duties during a parental leave in February of last year for one month, as well as an 11-day paternity leave in September, when Dahlin became a father for the second time.

Dahlin was appointed minister in November 2023 during a cabinet reshuffle, after which he briefly interrupted his ongoing leave before resuming it in February 2024.

Prior to his ministerial appointment, Dahlin served as the political spokesperson for Venstre. He has been a member of the Folketing (Danish Parliament) since 2019.
