Milan Iloski Returns to FC Nordsjælland After Loan Spell

Milan Iloski is set to rejoin FC Nordsjælland following a successful three-month loan period with San Diego FC. The Superliga club officially announced the return of the American forward on their website.

Iloski, 25, showcased impressive form in MLS, scoring ten goals in 14 appearances, totaling 471 minutes. Notably, eight of those goals were scored in June, including a remarkable four-goal performance in a 5-3 victory against the Vancouver Whitecaps.

FC Nordsjælland’s director of football, Alexander Riget, expressed his satisfaction with Iloski’s performance during the loan spell. “Milan was loaned to our sister club San Diego FC in the spring, at a time when it made sense for all parties, and it must be said that he has done well over there, where he has played an important role for them and scored a lot of goals in MLS,” Riget stated. He added that Iloski’s return in good match form will immediately bolster the team’s offensive capabilities.

San Diego FC also expressed interest in securing Iloski on a permanent basis. However, according to Reuters, head coach Mikey Varas confirmed that an agreement could not be reached despite their efforts.

Iloski initially joined FC Nordsjælland in January 2024 from Orange County. During his time with the Farum club, he has played 18 games and scored two goals.

San Diego FC, owned by Mohamed Mansour, is currently in its inaugural MLS season and leads the Western Conference. The team includes former FC Nordsjælland players Jeppe Tverskov and Marcus Ingvartsen, as well as national team player Anders Dreyer.
